Jillian Green (she/her) is a Chicago-based writer, director, and producer originally from Houston, Texas. Bringing a foundation in psychology to her craft, she creates character-driven film and television that blend humor, heart, and social awareness, centering women of color in the layered, joyful, and emotionally grounded roles she wished she saw growing up.
Her most recent short film, Strawberry Milkshake (2026), which she produced and directed, is currently on its festival run and continues her commitment to joyful, inclusive representation both in front of and behind the camera. Her recent work also includes A Lovely Day, a short film currently in post-production that she wrote, directed, and produced; Movie Night (2026), where she served as cinematographer; and The Man at the Door (2025), where she served as editor.
Across writing, directing, producing, cinematography, and editing, Jillian’s work reflects her interest in emotionally grounded storytelling, collaborative filmmaking, and creating space for women of color to exist in softness, humor, complexity, and joy.
